NEW! – will be released soon: AP5 - Application Product 5

Self Installed Asset Management (SIAM)

This application product is for customers of any size that wish to mange their valuable assets indoors and outdoors within a defined perimeter. The product consists of:

  1. Tags to be attached to assets of interest (100 tags)

  2. A network of stationary readers to cover the entire area of interest (2 readers)

  3. Optionally a hand held portable reader for all those incidents where the reader has to approach the asset (tag), and

  4. An Asset Management S/W Package to report on location, usage, abuse, operational status and any additional information that might protect the valuable asset on one hand and optimize its availability and usage on the other hand.

The system is based on active RFID components and provides features such as: battery status, tamper, motion and RSSI. The readers can be chained to enable coverage of any area of any size and shape.

The system is managed on a single PC and provides the following functions:

  1. Study inventory – PC collects ID information from all tags in range for creating the reference inventory. Operator gets a table of all detected ID’s, where he can add information for each asset or delete tags that he doesn’t want to control. When done, the operator can save the table as the “reference inventory”.

  2. Repetitive inventory counts are performed and results are compared to “reference inventory”. The operator can set the inventory count verification rate.

  3. Any deviation from “reference inventory” generates and distributes alerts.

  4. Special alerts (tamper, motion, and low battery) are detected on occurrence and transmitted on real time.

The most important feature of this product is its special design to easy setting and installation that makes it a Self Installed solution. An average user that is familiar with S/W installation on a PC should be able to design the installation and set up the system by following very clear and simple instructions supported by a S/W wizard.

Another wizard will assist the user to test the performance of the newly installed system to verify it operates as expected. Customers can purchase additional readers and tags to the basic kit or additional optional components that are not included in the basic kit. The basic kit does not include any specific engineering services.
